July was quite a busy month for me - with relocating back to upstate New York from Denver/LA, helping put the finishing touches on planning my best friends' wedding, connecting with a new music blog, starting a temp job, some freelance bio work for a singer's new record label, being a special guest on Beat*Shot Radio and beginning the latest chapter of my job hunt endeavors. Overall, my spirits have been tested again this past month, and as exhausting as it is to have plans change, it is also exhilarating exploring new possibilities. At the end of the day, I'm still writing, and that to me, means I'm doing just fine.

PODCAST/RECORDING FROM BEAT*SHOT RADIO NOW AVAILABLE.
I occasionally find myself missing my radio show days (several years ago now), and it was such an honor to be a guest on Beat*Shot Radio last week. I even listened back to the episode, and didn't cringe too bad at hearing my own recorded voice. We discussed animals in relation to hip hop, public bathroom horror stories, which endangered species we'd kill off (brutal), respectability politics, which presidents had which strange pets, dream pets we would love to take care of, etc. - all while animal-theme music was showcased. I really enjoy the dynamics of the hosts and know a lot of work and prep goes into making each episode an enjoyable listening experience. I love the interactive nature this show has on Twitter, and it was super fun being in a room of talented, hardworking and intelligent individuals.
